The world of cycling and mountain biking is preparing for a new edition of the Milenio Titan Desert by Gaes, a 6-stage race on mountain bike in the desert of Morocco, that has become the flagship in that discipline. Considered by many as the 'Dakar of MTB' is a race opened to amateur participants but attracts great cycling names by its hardness characteristics.
In 2012 some sports big names will join the race. Roberto Heras, three times winner of the event and already nicknamed as 'King of the Desert', has been joined by some internationally renowned riders who will fight for dethroning the Spanish cyclist. Milton Ramos seeks his first win after his second place in the 2011 edition. The Portuguese Luis Leao Pinto, the Checz Martin Horak or his compatriot Tomas Vokrouhlik and Italian Marzio Deho also emerge as favorites for victory.
This year, moreover, join them familiar faces from other disciplines such raids driver Marc Coma, three times winner of the Dakar Rally or the spanish famous actor Santi Millan, who will meet for the first time the harsh conditions of this adventure.
The Saturday will be reserved for technical and administrative scrutineering and the race will start on Sunday 29 at 08:00 am (local time).
