We talked to her and she told us her feelings, her point of view of the Titan Desert and her ambitions ahead of next years.
- Winner in 2008 and 2010, what it means for you to be the only woman capable of winning this race twice?
The truth is that I'm very happy, both years have been closely contested until the last moment, It has not been easy. Whenever there are good people willing to win and each year the level increases. So winning in 2008 and 2010 is something that I earned and I am very proud of it.
- What is that you love most from this race, What would you highlight of the Titan Desert compared with other MTB races?
I am attracted by the organization itself; the country, the environment, the race. Five days to share experiences and suffering with many people, sharing the day to day with hundreds of participants.
- How have you seen the evolution of the race from your first participation to this year?
The race has becoming bigger an bigger over the years, especially in terms of routes, which are becoming more and more like my MTB style. With less rolling plains, where you don't see the horizon and very hard to cycle with the bike, to introduce mountains and spectacular landscapes. The organization works hard year after year, listening the suggestions of participants and making every possible effort to improve.
- What memories do you have of these years?
I hold many memories, perhaps while you're in the race you don't realize or don't appreciate certain things, because of the tiredness or the concentration... but as soon as you come home you miss the atmosphere and the people with whom you've shared the stories of the day to day. This is something I do because that's what I like to do ... I keep all the year the desire to return.
