Every year, several teams from this Catalan region take part in the race and the forthcoming edition will be no different. For this reason, the event organisers wanted to be present at the city's most important trade fair. Over three days an information stand was set up in the Saló de la Muntanya and a presentation event was held for the media, participants and members of the public on Friday, the first day of the fair. The event was attended by Jaume Palau, from the Fitness Vic gym, who described his experience and that of the rest of the team in the previous Nissan Titan Desert MTB Marathon. He was joined by Manu Tajada, technical director of the MTB marathon, who described the new features of the 2009 edition, to be held in Morocco from 27 April to 1 May 2009.
